The Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is an electronic device that is attached to the Patients chest. Once attached, this device is capable of delivering multiple shocks to a patient who is in cardiac arrest. This course focuses on the following topics: Adult CPR, How to recognize an emergency, Introduction to the AED, The use of AED’s, Understanding barrier devices, First Aid and Choking, Resuscitation techniques for stroke, heart attack, cardiac arrest and foreign body.

Course length is 3 and 1/2 to 4 hrs.
